MAKING GREEN TEA

Green tea is a little bit more finicky than black tea. Ideally, you want the water to be in the 66-82˚ C range… which is much lower than boiling.

Green tea also requires a longer steeping time. So let it steep for 5-7 minutes before you strain out the leaves.

You can reuse those tea leaves and steep that tea 3-5 times.

MAKES 2 COCKTAILS

  • 2 oz Lumberjack Lemonade mixer

  • 2 ounces of gin

  • 8 slices of cucumber

  • 8 slices of jalapeno

  • 4 sprigs of mint (sprig = 4-6 leaves)

  • 2 lime wedges

  • 250ml green tea

Use a jug or cocktail shaker.

Muddle up half the cucumber, half the jalapeno, and half the mint.

Add the gin and Lumberjack Lemonade mixer and a lot of ice.

Stir or shake the mixture for about a minute.

Strain the liquid evenly into 2 glasses.

Add more ice and top it with green tea. Garnish with the remaining cucumber, mint, and jalapeno.

Add a little lime wedge to the glass edge.
